This series looks at the path women from across the globe journey through as they struggle with life’s many difficulties. It speaks of the internal transformation which takes place along that journey, where a woman begins to change from her younger innocent self to someone who is able to battle the inequality and injustice placed upon her in a patriarchal and male-dominated society. From one artwork to the next, the black ink running down the face of each woman decreases in a symbolic way as she grows stronger and more toughened, as do the changes in facial expression.
