PAIN EVAPORATING FROM THE BODY

Pain evaporating from the body is a series that represents the exact moment when the pain we have held on to and that has consumed us leaves. It is a figurative vapour that rises, and once it has gone, only then do we begin to feel relief. The hardships we face are many and they vary in nature, but the true pain is only known by the one who bares it and the beholder is the only one who will ever understand the suffering faced in entirety. The work reminds us that we never know what is going on beyond the surface of those we meet, those we work with or even those we love. Whether it is loss of a loved one, heartbreak, trying to get over an addiction, questioning faith, searching for a home, or simply battling with oneself, recovering from woe is a journey. Sometimes that journey feels like forever as we await that moment when we know we are able to move forward.
